Skip Permits

What limitations or restrictions apply to the permit?

Skips must be positioned at least 20 meters away from a junction and cannot be placed in restricted parking zones, on double yellow lines, near roundabouts, traffic lights, zebra crossings, or blocking any footway.

What is the timeframe for acquiring a permit?

Permits typically require 2-7 working days for processing, varying according to your local highway authority.

Is it possible to place a skip on a road or council-owned land?

A permit is required for placing a skip on Public Highways, pavements, grass verges, parking bays, and other council-controlled areas, including car parks. However, you need not fret as we can arrange the permit on your behalf.

Do we delivery on Sundays and Bank holidays?

We regret to inform you that we do not offer delivery services on Sundays and bank holidays. Our delivery schedule operates on regular business days from Monday to Friday. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Can a skip be lifted over a fence, bush, or wall?

Yes, we can lift the skip over a wall fence or bush if no higher than 3ft. Please ring us on 0115 990 3320 so we can make arrangements ahead of time with our driver for this to happen.
